it gives the populations of american cities and how they grew population wise from the time they started doing the census'.many older eastern cities were larger by a long shot than many cities which dwarf them population wise today.

Of course people weren't keen on anti-slavers settling that area, especially since they were "outsiders" and foreigners. Pre-Civil War "politics" I guess. :shrug:
