The weather has gotten real warm and Huntress has come out of her winter hybernation from mding. We went for a spin saturday evening, with the Excals in 2 surf areas hunting for fresh drop, from spring breakers. I had to work saturday and we hunted 8P-1A 834P 1.0L and SW winds 5-10, so we were late anyway. I kinda stunk for me, but here's the appetizer, Huntress kinda schooled me as it were! I got $.85 in clad! More on this hunt from her later!
Sunday, after church and breakfast, Huntress and I headed out for another adventure. Took her to leadsville, but she does not like it, because the loot is in deep water. Anyway we started out the spin at 12P and had already missed the low, into a 425P 1.6H and SE winds 10-15. It was around 70 and water temps were around 65. We both had worn our wetsuits.
I had hunted out as deeply as possible, out to my neck, but was not really able to get to the sweet spot. No man's land, as it were! So, I just moved back in to a gut closer to shore and worked up and backs. Clad count was way down at $1.76 and lead was down too from the norm, so I was off the mark.

Along about 445P, Huntress had been in the truck and I start feeling guilty, that she's tired and I should go.
I had gotten a great sounding signal and I said, Lord if you give me 1 piece of gold, I'll get outa here! Well when the target came up in the scoop, guess what! Bingo! It was a mighty pretty sight indeed! Can ya'll believe that I just headed straight outa' there? It is marked .417 (10K) and has a nice hot pink stone. Huntress always puts 'em on and says, "look honey". She knows better though and is quite capable of findin' 'er own! I don't go lootin' fer my wife!
