started with her having reflux then she had a very hard time breathing. She thought maybe some of the reflux went into her bronchial or is it trachial (?) airway. Then shortly afterwards she got a leg cramp which I tried to massage out and didn't work so she had to get up and 'walk it out' while she went to the kitchen for some potassium pills - somthing that helps the muscle cramps. She was so weakened I thought she would collapse in the kitchen. I prayed God would not take her home yet and to help her. As I was in the kitchen putting the pills away I saw an aspirin bottle and asked Sherry if she thought an aspirin or two might ease the pain in her airway. She took an aspirin then we stood in the kitchen and hugged - not knowing what would happen next.
It took awhile but we finally got back to the bed and sat there in our own thoughts of what is going to happen = fearing the worse. Sherry didn't want to ruin my Saturday with you guys. I worried about whether this was her time to meet our Lord.
Moments that seemed like hours, the pain left her airway. As the pain became less and less Sherry realized that maybe it wasn't the reflux in her airway but instead an angina attack she had had covered up by the angina. She said "God must have given her the leg cramp to get her to get up and go to the kitchen and He pointed me to the aspirin. The aspirin easing the angina attack." God is great all the time and He does great things!
We talked about not going to the CMD hunt at all, if I should go alone or if we should go as a family. Sherry was afraid I'd fall asleep if I drove alone in the early morning hours or on the way back home. I know it takes a couple days for Sherry to recover from an angina attack but she wants to go as a family. Casey doesn't know any of this happened so is continuing to dream of the hunt today as a family.
If we do not make it to McDonald's when you all get there I will call on the cell phone when we get into Marshall. Maybe you can guide us from the McDonald's via the phone.
I am glad I did not lose my wife last night. Glad I won't have to miss your smiling faces or the hunt this time around. See you all at the hunt when we get there. Like the 3 Musketeers - all for One (Jesus) and One for all.
