Took the CZ6a out to the beach today with the new FZ12 Sunray coil. Coil worked great...pinpoints right on and is sensitive to the lower conductive objects.

Hunted about 3 hours with lots of clad and 6 nickles. Then I got a pull tab tone and in the scoop was what I thought a gold coin. After inspection, I had no idea what it was.

Got home and looked it up....it's a 1/2 Russian Ruble. Man I thought I had one !!! No idea how it got on the NJ beach. Will post a pic at some point.

I love the Sunray coil. I think it may be a little deeper than the 10.5, I know it's just as stable in autotune as well as discriminate mode. It is definitely sensitive to the lower conductive targets. But the best thing is it pin points right on, and I don't have to use the pin point button. Just narrow it down, and the object is right in the center of the coil. When the waves are coming, it's good to get dead on pin point.

by folks on the forums finding them. You said you found it in NJ. Anywhere near Brighton Beach? If I remember right, there's a large Ukranian minority population there. It's often called "Little Odessa".

Years ago had the same experience with a small brass token and sure is an adrenalin rush..Hunted Atlantic City beaches for years and found coins from a lot of foreign countries as the area has been visited from a lot of countries over the years...Who knows perhaps over the next hill....
