Thought I had a first, but then again I did

Saturday just poured rain on me and bob, Bob's never been detecting so I offered him the use of my back up to give it a try.
We hunted an old cabin site that he knew of and when we got there my mouth just watered, all that was left was chimney and rock foundation rubble,
sorry no pics of that to wet to get my camera out. We dug junk for about an hour, old hoe's axe heads and canning lids when
i got a solid hit at the base of a tree, at 6" out come my first military button, I was sure it was Civil war...Wrong...
A great seal button from 1902 I think, correct me if I'm wrong.

After a few minutes more I was detecting around the chimney and came up with this old sauve bottle (still has sauve in it too)

Thought I had an old coin but the lid had me fooled. Luckly I didnt break it bringing it up from it's 8" grave. We were getting pretty soggy by then and since bob had'nt found anything good
I ask him where his kids went to school so I could put him on some coins, He hung in like an old pro and ended up with enough clad to get the fever on his first trip out.
Now he's asking me where to get a detector. Had a great day even if the weather didnt cooperate and I think I've created a Monster.
He's already asking when we can go again. Thank's for looking...Jim
