Many people ask here ..Which Detector should I buy ??

Many answer here about one brand or another being the best. They may be .....

That said some have never tried a different brand or model detector and they say theirs is the best. No argument in a sense..if they work for them awesome.
My advice would be find a dealer, and check out and try several brands and models before you buy..
My brand preference or model preference may not end up being your brand or model preference.. A good dealer will have stock and demo units for you to try... Make the closest to the right choice you can from his experience and machines you can try out. Good luck and choose carefully for a great detecting experience.

Great post as using a unit for a few hours, a few times is like test driving a car(some units cost more) and one mans pleasure is yet anothers' nightmare. Kudos-John

Your are right Elton. Always be open minded about all detectors. I remember one time saying it looked like a toy but when I tried it in a iron patch. It only took a couple moments to find it did some think the others failed to do. Find good targets that were mask by iron to many other detectors I had tried in that spot. So you can't judge a book by its cover. And you can't always believe what other have to say about a detector. Try it yourself.

gets expensive though trying out detectors..

I am done trying have what I need and I few have to go and until new tech arrives they are all the same for the most part some do a bit better than others in differing conditions but they are VLF..

so going to get good with what I have and wait for GFRDCH tech to come out.

I never would have bought a AT Pro if I hadnt used one first. Its not as good as my F75, its just fun and light. Its also simple to use. But after seeing what Etracs can do, guess what? The AT Pro just sets in a corner with the batterys out and the F75 is in its padded back packed away. But I agree, go with a dealer and buy new if you can. Lot of new machines out there. Wish I could try em all. But for now Ill stick with what I have.
