So true & therefore that is precisely why we need to let God lead us by asking the Holy Spirit to guide our thoughts.

Hmmm...I dont know the writings of James Allen, but isnt this sort of Norman Vincent Peeleish? 
Or the doctrine of health and wealth crowd? Think and be rich? Oh I suppose in a generic way thoughts work, there area a lot of other variables in Life though.... thoughts are inanimate without physical action, can they be controlled? Possibly. Is the outcome guaranteed? Nope. Can all thoughts even righteous ones be trusted? Nope.
We are very weak and vulnerable to our thoughts, and especially to soothing well articulated thoughts of others, good or bad, without the Holy Spirit's protection, we are all in some deep trouble...
I guess its by fruits (action) that brought a man where he is today, and by his fruits a fellow will be someplace tomorrow...oh no! Is this tripping into the 'saved by works' doctrine?...I'm tired, I dont want to think about this anymore!
so now I'll log off and go to bed, thats an action i guess?..and with Gods grace I will sleep and wake up in the morning to think about this some more..
