Those who make metal detecting videos..what to get

Hey all, i wanna start to try and make some metal detecting videos. I know you all have your own different setups, but I was wondering what video camera is the bang for the buck and easiest to use when detecting. Thanks for any opinions

I bought a new vid camera that records in the .mov format. I guess this is an Apple invention because Windows movie maker does not recognize it. So I have to buy different software to produce movies. Just make sure your software accepts your camera recording format. Also I ruined my first camera because I got sand in it from a volleyball court hunt. Then I figured I would buy a waterproof camera because that makes it sand and dust proof too.

How did you have the play sport set up? Was someone there with you tapin?

Anymore suggestions?

I use the Kodak Zi6. No longer made and hard to find but it has great macro capabilities. It is also small enough to fit it in my t-shirt pocket until I need it .

I also have the Kodak Playsport zx5 for some underwater hunting I plans to do next summer. I'm just not a fan of the autofocus features of the newer cameras for macro work.

Canon W560 digital camera. Lite, small for pocket. Very fast macro on photo or video. Records in .mpg format, easy to convert to .avi with free converter. Good battery life on the rechargeable battery. Costs around 120$ in Canada.

I use a small tripod and place on the ground after showing the beep. It make for great vids. Because you see all parts, signal, the dig, and the find. But Its a lot of work... no joke and it slows me down so much.
