Those of you who hunt Open Screen

Do you set any discrimination across the bottom line and up the right side to alleviate "wrap around" falling? Where do you set your top and bottom of screen dividing line for sound differentiation

Not exactly an open screen but this is what I use in Ferrous Coin. It rejects most iron and foil and lets me hear everything else.

I need some information on where to set a 2 tone Ferrous dividing line on an Open Screen so that targets below it grunt and the "COIN" targets above it scream.

Are you asking about this based on Keith Southerns video? Reason I ask is that I don't recall someone bringing up Two Tone Ferrous in some time and now it has came up again. It seems like taking a step back in a way with combined mode being available but his testing has got my interest.

You can set the fe line at 18 to 25 or so if coins are your main targets. You also need to remember that any targent above that fe line will ring a high tone not just coins if you are running a open screen.

Most of the shallow coins will come in at 12 fe.

Yes. That's what got me started thinking about it. It seems like hunting open screen like that with 2 tones would work well.

OK. I was thinking it might be useful in places where there would otherwise be a constant null.

I am going to print out the Monte Nail test and try it out alongside the Gonehunting settings I have been using. Which I use with practically an open screen.

What I decided to do was open the entire screen and use Combined to set 4 tones of conductive (with a very narrow band for nickels) across the top and 120 KHz on the bottom half, splitting the screen at the 18 Ferrous line.
