Those blasted foil targets!

Here is my take for the day, too cold to stay long. 9 pennies and some coin so corroded I don't know what it is. Soaking it and will see, it gave me a nickel reading, but have no idea what it is?
The ring is 10K and a foil reading..
My friend tells me I have a detector that will tell me where the satellites are in the sky and yet I dig more foil and junk than any five people he knows.... Thanks for reading. Z

if its corroded could be a penny. the new pennies on mine come up nickel and they are made to dissolve in the ground. my guess anyways from not seeing a pic of it. i hate the shreds of soda cans....they are the worst....

Thanks for reply dobbie. The nickel was a nickel but I think someone dropped it in a bucket of paint. It has a thick coating of paint on it.
I must apologize to the group because I sucker punched you. I can talk smart about digging foil targets because I dig in the sand. If I had to dig in the ground I would probably not dig one foil target up.
I started to think about the people going out and digging all the foil targets. 94 out 95 were foil targets and the 95th was a kids ring with an adjustable band on it. I could just hear the swearing at me.
Sorry and I will not do it again, un............ til the next time... hehe Z

Is the nickel red? if so it may not be paint ,just oxidized
My wife found one that she said someone dropped into some paint.lol

its alright zeekeys no harm done. foil comes up silver on mine sometimes. I hate it....but i dig just about everything anyways....once something came up junk but i dug it up and it was a little christmas tree pendant. it was gold plated but still cool...

Thanks for all the replies. The nickel is gray. I was going to clean it off but I am going to put it into the tumbler. I got about 4 loads waiting to be cleaned. I like TD and probably a lot of others dig up some unusual finds. I bring them home and show my wife my finds. Her reply is I don't think anyone lost this stuff, I think they threw it away and you find it and bring it home. lol I one time found a very nice gold diamond ring. I had it appraised and he said I'll give you 18 for it I said 1800 he said $18. Again my wife said she didn't lose it she threw it away when she found out how cheap the guy who gave it to her was. Not knocking her,she keeps me grounded. She really does enjoy my finds. She asks every time I come home what did you find? We have given many of my finds to friends and relatives over the years. My wife is the reason why I got back into mding. Thanks again for reading. Z
