This will work.........

Personally put the cover on the box or add some of the high sliders they use on furniture...I feel this would obstruct my swing, but only my opinion and again a nice stand..

Works fine as is. Could have made the contour to hug the box a little tighter if it had not been suitable on the first try. The parts are cheap. 1/16 X 3/4 aluminum strip from TSC, pop rivets, and 2 1/4 X 2" steel bolts and nuts.

Fitting up the mounting brackets and making the bends were a bit tricky. Aluminum does not take well to sharp over bending.

Thanx again.

Art I copied your design. Mine works well but doesn't look as good as yours. I tried to go too cheap and used an aluminum yard stick (2.99).

That yardstick probably cost more than the strip I used.

If I was doing it over again, I would use the same strip.
Then put duct tape on the vise jaws and the face of the hammer to prevent marring the surface.
Would use 3/16" thick strap for the mounting brackets. Countersink about half way through the backside with a Black and Decker 1/4" Bullet bit (leaves a flat bottom hole with a small pilot in the center). This way the bracket will flush mount when pop riveted.

When bending, mark the bend, place in vise, use a square to set the metal square to the jaws, then bend it.

Just another way to get a stand on a Sov.

If it gives you any ideas, then fine. That is what it was intended for.

Not going to make them for sale.
