This system should work on all concentric coils, (not the DD design) First thing is to put a marker in the center of the forward inner toe. The true center can be made by tracing the coil on a piece of paper, cutting it out, folding it in half then placing it on top of the coil. I put on a happy face as my marker, and drew a straight line on the outer forward toe, just to help with positioning and centering. This setup works best shallow targets. For deeper targets, use this link supplied by Garrett.

So I take it the happy face is the sweet spot. And I am talking about the coil, no the pretty girl. Although she looks pretty sweet also.

The girl in the picture would not need any pinpointing tips because I would dig all of her targets!

They didn't mention anything about detuning the detector when trying to pinpoint. By pressing the pinpoint button for the second time while over the target will give a very accurate pinpoint. I feel that if you don't do this, you've got Buckley's chance of finding the target.

Uncle,
That's exactly what I think. It's hard enough to try to explain it for people to understand. I have showed people how to do it "hands on" and they don't get it. I'm sure you have too.

PLus that a lot of folks don't have a clue what it is and it is a little difficult to explain to or show someone.
