This week's harvest

This was a busy detection week. I went monday, tuesday, wednesday and friday. I was pretty fortunate for the gold count, but all of them are relatively small, so the total weight is only 17 grams. Luke got a little less items but his weight is way over mine. We must have visited some 15 beaches. Competition is harsh and many beaches were already visited like Ste Agathe, Oka and St Donat. Well we were more fortunate on the small less known beaches.
here is my gold items for the week :

I got less silver items, but some were a bit chunkyer... I also got that little sword, made of brass. Too dangerous for a toy, wonder where it comes from... a kidman's hat ? Also got several junk jewels, didn't bother to take a picture and of course several loads of trash.

Clad count wasn't so bad either... usually managed to make 20 to 30 bucks per day... total of the week is 109.03$ (412 coins). Total for the year so far : 266.60$ (1848 coins), 27 silver jewels, 52 silver coins and 32 gold items (total weight102,8 grams)

Well vacations aren't over, still some detecting to do next week. I'm way ahead of last years record, but last year i barely detected in june and july. But since competition is getting worse eatch year, gotta start a bit earlyer and re-visit the beaches often. Newbees are getting in the hobby each year... Still very fun to do.

Your finds are just great as always. As for the local competition, they are way behind you.
Great week for you, bon chance.

The knife looks like a symbolic knife that a Sihk would carry. As part of their religion all male Sihks must carry a dagger at all times and never cut their hair. The hair thing is fine by Canadian law, the dagger deal just don't fly in Canada so they carry a symbolic dagger to meet their religious requirements. You may recall the arguement over Sihks not removing their turbans in the Royal Canadian Legions, good thing as all that hair would be all over the floor.
