I decided to only post once a week instead of every trip. I have now had a few trips where I didn't find a ring or gold, but all in all things are still pretty good. The lake water has warmed up around here and things aren't falling off fingers like early in the season.

I was still able to find a pretty nice 14K Diamond ring with a oval diamond.

I had 3 gold rings for the week. The 10K has "CZ" so I guess that means the stones. The mans ring has writing on it that I don't recognize and is unmarked for gold content, but I feel sure it is gold.

The silver this week was first for me. The first is marked Mexico and 927. It is shaped like a square nut. The other is my first man's earring. It is marked 925, but color is gold. Perhaps it is plated. The stone give me a start for an instant but soon realized it had to be fake.

Early in the week I posted a question on here about finding chains.

Within 2 days I had found one and promised to post the pic today and here it is. This is my first chain find.

This is my 2nd class ring and the school has been notified with my request for help locating the owner. It is from Burchfield Elementary Class of 2008. There are only 46 students there in that class so I think I have a chance.

These are the other items I found including 4 more junk rings and a nice earring.

This is everything (except clad and junk) for the week.

Everything was found in local lakes withing a 60 mile radius of me. I had to do some research to find a few new spots, but it paid off. One spot was about 150' x 40' but my buddy and I found six rings there. We both found 3 each. I found the one gold one. Most of the things though were found at places that I had already hunted before.

Thanks for looking!

Alton the oval shaped diamond is called a marquise cut. Very nice! Is there a karat stamp on the chain's clasp? Lots of gold there! The unmarked gold ring could very well be a winner. I had several pieces that were unmarked, but accepted by Midwest for the bars. Do you have an acid test kit yet? This will help you to make an educated guess, as to it's gold content. Not 100%, but better than nothing. I believe, that if you look a little closer on the silver ring, you will discover it says .925, as well. As far as I know there is no .927. Great stuff man, we can wait for once a week, if you bring it like that! Yer in the zone dude!
