The week started with me getting kicked out of a turf park. One of the recreation Center workers came out (poor kid was about 19) wearing a STAFF shirt and asked me if I had found anything good. Silver dime! I replied. Then he said I couldn't dig in the grass because of liability issues and used sprinkler heads as an example. What if I hit one? I wanted to make a joke to the effect that the metal in the sprinkler heads there are mid-tones and I was only digging high-tones. He did compliment me on my AMAZING job of cutting and returning my plugs. Well, I never get upset about that sort of thing and always have a Plan B. At the plan B park, I got a silver-toned signal, but I knew it wasn't a dime or quarter, but something in-between. Probably another St. Christopher medal I thought. Turned out to be most of a silver quarter! Fast forward another day and I get a deep (7-8 inches) mid to high-toned signal and pull the S-mintmark section of a war nickel out of the ground! This is one good machine! Also helps to have good hearing on that target. Also got a nice Injun (1907), a couple of silver rosies, a San Diego transit token, and a bunch of wheats this week, including a '17-S. Thanks for looking and Happy Hunting everyone! - Jim
