This weekend in the lakes of Michigan, FORKED!!!!

Ok, how many water detectorists can go out around 100' from shore in neck deep water and hit 6 forks all within 10' of each other???? I bet I am the only one!! No two are alike either!! My wading buddies were laughing when I was comming up fork after fork. BUT, 2 silver Washingtons and 2 silver mercs were also in the same area along with the can opener.

9 rings this weekend. 4 silver and 5 junk, (2 were gold plated) The one silver ring last on right in middle row is a boyscout ring. One of my friends that was wading got the only gold and it was a 14K white gold mans band. Lots of other junk. All the watches were dead. It was an interesting weekend to say the least.

If you saw my post under the Christian forum about Oakland County MI, you would understand!!!

Anyway, ring count this year is now 74. Only 20 gold and 28 silver, and of course my platinum. Enjoy the pictures!!

Many interesting finds you got there. Likely just scrathed the bottom. Lots more for you to find there yet.

If the treasure gods would send me a nice fat platinum....I would gladly dig up some forks for them

Not too trashy scuba! I like it all! Be SURE to check out the forks and make sure you don't have some sterling in the mix, those LOOK OLD! Good hunt mate!

Nope not tired at all and wish I had more tanks!! My hooka is almost ready to put in the water. Had the carb rebuilt and had to get my float to work with it. I am excited!! If I find an anchor or large object I can come up and place it on the float now!!!

At the first of every year I get tired faster swinging the 10" coil but it gets better every weekend. I hunt so much more ground that I would never go back to the small 8". Even in very trashy places, I am able to decipher the beeps on my toys.

Just got another CZ-20 in the mail today. A friend found one for 350.00 and I couldn't pass it up. I want my wife to try and my two with 10" coils were a bit much for her I thought so I got a 8" one. Thanks again Craig!!!!

This weekend just might be a lot of fun. Will know tonight how the new toy works. Air tests are great. Will take some pictures I hope at my favorite lake on Saturday. Kind of wish I had an underwater camera. Maybe in time.
