I've found two of these at two different times and places. I should know what they are, but I just can't come up with it. The 3rd pic is one with no advertisement. They both are copper with loops like a pendant.
It appears to be related to the Diamond Core-Testco Inc. company located in Tyler Texas. It is a private company categorized under Servicing Oil and Gas Wells. The number on the back "LY3-3458" is there telephone number 593-3458. Not sure exactly what it is.
Looks like a pull tab tool .Gave away to promote oil field drilling tools. Saves finger nails when your lady opened your beer, handy on your key chain when you want to drink and drive.I remember the old days in Texas when you could legally drink beer while driving .
It's not a whistle because I tried it and it didn't work. Can someone find a pic of a pull tab opener like this? I haven't seen anything like it yet on the www.
I think its a pen knife. Seems I saw these when I was a kid. A small knife blade was inside and held with a catch in the small slot. Depressing the catch allowed the blade to be pulled out and then it would be turned around and snapped back into the holder for use. A lot of times the catch would get loose and the blade was lost. Advertisers used them for cheap givaways. neat find.
