You know how wood chips get wet and frozen on top. Harder to dig that way. I been removing aluminum bits out of a near by tot lot to make it a better hunting environment, and to get some finds. I got so tired of bending over all the time just to move some wood chips, I came up with this Idea.
I bought a $3 hot dog skewer from Wal-Mart. I cut the two forked ends and bent them so they would cork screw into the wood chips. I bent the handle 90 degrees to make it easy to rotate it.
With a slight down force and a twisting motion I can loosen up a 1.5' X 9" patch with three easy twist. It is easy to then kick out a 6" deep wad of wood chips. I mean It actually works. For only $3.
Hears what it looks like.
Heres what I found today. Couldn't stay very long because I forgot my gloves. But I did find a silver ear ring.
