This question has probably already...

This question has probably already been asked and I missed it, but
how will the new features on the MXT Pro help make for a better hunt.
Why did people ask Whites for these features anyway. (Of course I already
understand about the back light for night hunting).

The multi tone helps with target ID so that you do not have to keep looking at your screen in coin mode. There was only one tone before and now with tones, it's another way to judge a target. :beers:

HI Katz , I think alot of people are like me an started out with a machine that had the sound ID on them and have learned to like and use it .
For me I don't have to watch the visual ID so much if I am coin hunting . My understanding is it can be turned on and off if you choose not to use it like when relic hunting . As for the ground grab I don't know much about it guess it is suppose to make pinpointing easier by ground balancing but as for me I have never had a big problem pin pointing so not sure it would help me much . Someone else will have to talk on the ground grab feature . Thats not a very professional explanation but maybe I explained a little on the sound for you .

I think I'd make use of the ground grab as I generally GB my MXT, then hunt with the switch in lock position. I redo the process every few minutes, especially if I wander into an obvious change in the ground and I believe the Ground Grab would speed up this process.

They claim on certain targets, when you sweep over the spot a few times, the detector could auto balance itself to null the target. By locking it, you would not have that problem because it would not be automatically ground balancing itself as it goes along. Hope that made sense?
