George Payne descendants in the First Texas line are.....per my understanding, and I usually understand things pretty well. Not being a smart Alec..But I listen and learn when someone takes the time to teach me..

F2-F4.....and most of the Bounty Hunter Line are Payne products descendants. The Teknetics T2..and it's descendent's, The Fisher F75 are totally new designs from the ground up.Dave Johnson and his team designed these detectors.
The only anything line in the F75- It borrows some of the T-2 Discrimination ideas. (Period)... Platinum Gold.."Greek Teknetics"-F5 are also completely new designs.
The F5 only borrows the Bounty Hunter Plastics, and some of the discrimination from the F70. It would seem these are completely new model detectors, and not borrowed ideas from anything other than the design engineers ideas and concepts. I am not going to debate this issue, but if it isn't true, then why would Fisher, and their Representative say it..There would be no reason in my opinion....I think we should all tip our hat to Dave Johnson, and his team for the remarkable F75.

The Teknetics T2 was a total new design from the ground up.Not based on any earlier platform. The F75 is a major redesign of the T2 Platform with the focus on
higher performance and more features. The F70 is a major redesign of the F75 platform with a focus on simplicity.
The Engineers of the entire series was done by Dave Johnson, and John Gardiner.

The Fisher F4 and F2 are major redesigns by John Gardiner and Dave Johnson of Bounty Hunter platforms the ancestry of which is ultimately traceable to George Payne. The Fisher F5 is one of several new products which are variants of totally new platform designed by Jorge Anton Saad, John Gardiner, and Dave Johnson..

Search coils are not interchangeable between the various platforms. Teknetics T2 search coils are not interchangeable with those related to Fisher products
So I think we have new ideas, new products and I will stand by my totally new technology, and truly new machine on my prior post about the F75.

There has been a lot of talk on this forum..about First Texas and their Fisher line. The above is as I know it to be factual. George Paynes formats were not used for the design of the totally new F75. Now I also know that in a sense all designers technology has been used to a degree..Gerhard Fisher made the first Fisher.....Others took that idea, Yes I said idea, ( Metal Detector) idea, and either improved on it. Redesigned it, or took todays technology marvels and built something totally new in design and concept..The T-2, and the F75 are a couple of good examples of the new technology, using computer technology, and "New" designs, and making a new detector .I am not certain where the George Payne thing enters in at.. and why it became an issue but if you read the entire post above it will in fact clear up the idea that George Payne had anything to do with the F75..Other than somewhere along the way he designed metal detectors. Like people before him did,and people after him. He was and is a terrific engineer, and made detecting better, much better, and, he is appreciated beyond a doubt. And, Well respected in the industry. So now thats said, lets move on and enjoy the "Todays Fisher'..and "Todays", designed detectors...Fisher has some of, if not, the best engineers in the detecting industry..and I would bet, but certainly can not speak for George Payne that Mr. Payne would be honored to be part of the team at First Texas. I would also think he is very proud of accomplishments in the detecting industry.I also think Dave Johnson, John Gardiner, and Jorge Anton Saad are very proud of their accomplishments too....Thank you for reading..

Great info..From what Ive read other places, Dave Johnson and engineers Built the F75 with some very Unique Programing and Hunting capibilitys and purposely added great features
like the JE Hi-Gain mode, and the Deep Celler all metal Stat modes..The Detector is super fast and if used correctly lots of fun with great results.....

It's also easy learning..and can help the newest detectorist be able to have good results right out of the box just turned on bob it a few times up and down and hold trigger forward for ground balance and start hunting..after you get the final GB reading on display screen... I am talking some serious turn on and go depth here..not two or three inches but 6 7 8..just in preset.. Je is great for beaches, and applications for finding gold and jewelry, and stat mode is like super drive...It works super deep in old, old sights for small collectable coins...and other items..not to mention civil war areas that quote were hunted out..The lightening recovery aides in trash like no other detector I have ever used..

And adjustable recovery speed like the XLT & DFX where it can be adjusted to the point
where multiple hits will arise from the target-lets say a penny atop the ground and the
faster sweep speed?
