In 1973 there was a terrible event that happened in our county that I still carry with me. A 24 year old dirt bag kidnapped a 15 year old girl, raped, killed, and dismembered her up in the mountains north of my town. I did not know the girl, but I had met the piece of crap that took her young life. He was dating a roomate of my sister-in-law. The guy looked like Charles Manson. He always gave me the creeps. My best friend was a police officer working the case and filled me in on the whole thing as it progressed. After the animal took her innocence, he stuck a 8 inch knife in her chest. She looked up at him and asked him if she was going to die. He said "Yes". He then took that knife and cut her up into small pieces. I saw the photos of her young body cut up like a frying chicken, complete with an officer holding up her severed head by the hair, It has stuck with me all these years. I have a very soft heart when it comes to young ladies, and this thing made me so angry that I wanted to kill him myself. I almost had my chance as that thing was awaiting trial in the county jail. I was working as a plumber and went on a service call to that jail. They opened up the door and let me in, closed the door behind me and opened up the next door that let me into the cell block to do my job. In his cell set that murdering B@#$# and he looked up at me. I told the gaurd to open that cell door and let me in and I would save the county the money for a trial. I was dead serious. The other inmates were cheering me on and begged the jailor to let me in. He almost did it. but changed his mind.
After his conviction I have followed his prison term. There were several folks I knew that went to the parole hearing every time he was up for parole. I am so thankful that he never made parole and stayed where he belonged.
A few minutes ago I read the local paper and there on the front page was a picture of the murdering scum and his victim. He has just died of cancer in the state penn! I know it is not macho, but I shed a few tears when I read the whole story and saw both of their faces again. I will not tell you his name, he does not deserve it, Her name was Pamela Wiedamann and she is forever 15.This closes that old wound at last, and now he faces another judge. Thank you my friends for letting me unload this. DC
