This past weeks finds

As the season is winding down,I made every effort to hunt a couple of hours almost everyday last week. I think I made it out five days. All finds were made using a minelab Equinox 600. The first pic is my non coin finds. As you can see there are some pretty cool things! The tags were found in a field behind the site of an old school that was tore down in the late 60s. The cap gun was in a park and sounded like a quarter. It was a good 11" deep. The buttons and bullets were found at the site of an 1880s school house.

Drum roll please! Many of you know that my goal for the year was 30 silver coins. So many areas are really hammered and you and your machine have to work as one. You have to take a chance on those iffy signals and sometimes it does pay off! Number 29 was a well worn 1901 Barber quarter found behind an old school. I looked 10 times on the back but could not find the"S" mint mark! Number 30 was the 64 Rosie found at a ball diamond. I know there are a lot of people that pull down as much silver in a week as I do in a year but I think I had a good season. Last year I only had 11 silvers for the year! HH everyone! Ted

Thanks everyone! If it gets warm enough,I have a couple of bean fields to hit. Both are long shots but one site is supposed to be where an old general store was and the other was a logging camp in a 260 acre field. That one may be tough! HH! Ted

I remember my hunting partner told me, the first barber he found , he thought it was play money and threw it down on the ground and walked away....
He later figured out what it was and went back and retrieved it....any coin type target you find that you don't know about...take it home with you !
A lesson well learned.
