This mornings hunt

Ken (Australia)

New member
Hi all, slipped out this morning to a new site. The owner met me there and explained his grandfather had lived in the premises, most of which is now covered by a highway so I had a quick look in what would have been the rear yard and beyond. I only stayed a short time as it was blowing a gale and freezing but managed to come up with an Australian military badge, 1922 halfpenny, 1951 penny and one penny Sydney token from Smith Peate and Co. These tokens were issued for one year only, 1856. The owner is a really nice bloke and said I could come back anytime and even pointed out a couple of other sites on the property for me to look at..... HH......Ken.

Great finds Ken ! And the token is awesome ! I luv finding old tokens and the values can be worth much more than a silver coin . At the end of the day I'd take a old token over a silver coin any time . WTG....Mike
