This Morning's Hunt

Went back to the house I got the 1908 Barber Dime and 1854 Large Cent at 10 days ago. I took it really slow and covered an area I had pulled the dime and 20 wheaties from last time. I was thinking, "There has to be some Indian Heads here." Silver still evades me this week, but my new thing is wheat penny pocket spills. For the past 2 weeks, every time I've dug a wheat penny there was more than one in the hole. I found 4 of these last evening in the same hole with nail and 2 in the same hole today. I also got a rounded plain button and this cool World War I era toy soldier.

I think that guy is guarding the silver , now that you got him the silvers there for the taking , nice hunt Duke I sure you will hit the silver vain again. sube

Thanks for the laugh Sube! I'm headed north next weekend. I've only been up there 2 weekends this summer to my brother-in-law having a rough streak health-wise. The last time I went up I hit 2 silver in one hole in less than 5 minutes out of the car!

Is that soldier made from lead? That's pretty cool. I'll bet it's worth a good bit of $$. Of the 211 Wheats I've gotten this year, only about 10 have been outside the 40s and 50s. 1911 was the oldest I've found. I think I have 28 56Ds.

It's heavy. It could be lead. Lead would scream on the E-trac like copper or silver. This came in like a nickel, low conductivity.

I found the soldier on E-bay. Here's the link.
