This Mornings Hunt With Steve C.

I already posted this once under a different posting but decided it needed a post of its own, so here it is again. Thanks Steve C. for a fun and informative demonstration this morning. I wish all detectorists out there were aware of the proper ways to retrieve targets. Thanks also for sharing with us some of your good hunting areas. It was hot but there were several good finds and I think everyone had fun. Looking forward to hunting with you again. There was also another Steve there. It was nice to meet you Steve. Looking forward to seeing you again.

I applied the knowledge that Steve taught me this morning and dug up a few goodies. The bottom row is what I found this morning and the top row on a previous hunt. The shinny thing in the upper right is a gold filled pin of some sorts, came in as a nickel.

Today's finds are two .69 cal CW fired bullets, a 1902 V nic and an old cuff link that was once gilded...... add some clad to that and it all adds up to a good time even though it was 94 degrees when we quit at 10:30......... whew.

He was quite happy when he got home. Great finds Honey! Thanks Steve for taking the time in this hot weather to take them out. HH, Nancy

Steve, that was so nice for you to plant those .69 cal. bullets where Larry could find them. Really Larry, nice finds. Thanks for all the info. Steve C, I'll probably head back that way when it cools down, hope to see some of you out there. I came up with an older lighter, a gear from a clock, and a piece of an old pocket watch. It got hot out there quickly, I left about 20min. after the rest of you.

Many thanks to Steve C, Larry, and others that were there last Saturday. Despite the heat and humidity it was great to get to know everyone a little better and to sweat out the effects of the night before celebrating my son's 21st birthday. Didn't have a lot of luck other than the infamous aluminum pull tabs that were so popular during the Civil War , but had a great time learning history from Steve C and getting an idea of potential future sites. I look forward to getting to know everyone in the club better as time goes on. Thanks again to all!

Hi Steve, thanks for posting to let us know you survived the morning at the park  The advantage of digging those pull tabs is that some gold rings sound just like a pull tab signal....one of these days.............:bouncy:

Congrats on just getting out guy's. The finds are from the sweat off of your endeavours.
