I went back to the old high school here in town and was able to pluck a few things from the grounds again. I was running the Etrac with a wide open screen, TTF, fast recovery and auto sensitivity and had the Minelab 8" coil on it. I was surprised to hit a few of the items as deep and clear as I did with the small coil. The first hit of the day was the boy scout pin at a whopping 1" deep
The silver dime was 9" deep and gave a reading of 1-34, but the tone was consistent from both directions. All the medallions were 8" deep, the football(both pieces) and megaphone were all in the same hole. The cross was 7" and gave a nice repeatable tone, I was certain I had a wheaty, but was surprised when the cross came out. The Sioux Falls Traction System token was the last thing I expected, especially all the way from Sioux Falls to NM!! The lead bottle top was over 8" deep and of course gave a great signal and it still had some cork in it. I haven't found the date range on it yet. Overall, a pretty good day with a nice variety of stuff for this area.
