Took advantage of the full moon this morning. No, wasn't out on the spot in the dark. Full moon usually means silver and didn't get disappointed. Nothing all that old, but did manage a 49 Washington and a 45d Merc along with 5 wheat cents that ranged from 1918----1958. Hit one small coin spill with 2 quarters stacked and 3 Memorials and a dime. Got the one patina curio from near pin pointer depth and misc. Oh, and a good handful of trash. All my nickel readings were tab tails. Had on the 11" coil in Pro Zero mode. HH jim tn

Nice silvers and good one on the spill. Congrats !
Looks like some deep targets.

Yep! The early bird gets the worm. It was a picture perfect morning for detecting and I wasted it. It won't be many of those days left before the Summer heat sets in.

Jim it looks like you had a great time. Way to go on the silver coins!

I like his findings, TN Jim.
In Spain we say, a man we get up early and find a wallet, but who earlier got up the lost ...
I love the detection at night. In the light of the moon. Solitary fields where the forest begins at the top of the mountains. From where you see the lights of the small villages ... I hope that day is tomorrow ...:detecting:

Now that is a solid day again! Great work! The waning moon pulls gold, so get ready..:clapping:

Nice finds & silver fix. We all need that AG fix! I used to hunt turf at night in the summer months for a few years as a way to beat the heat. However I usually used a detector with built in adjustable back lighting. Made it easier to check settings.

Jim, I really admire your dedication, getting out there with the early-birds. Yes, I often think about you as I'm sipping my second latt

But, once I get started, look out! :detecting:

Jim, the stacked coins always amaze me. How do they slide out of a pocket, sink in the ground, stay stacked for years? I just can't believe someone stacked the coins and walked away. Anyone got any ideas how this happens.
Jim, your kicking butt. I wonder if before detecting, you ever hunted much for animals? (Deer, small game etc.)
