This morning hunt. Headed to sandbridge, didnt like the looks :( so headed to Va Beach, many pics, and some tickets. :thumbup: :cam:

Norm and I headed to Sandbridge, on arrival we noticed they had a dredge in operation. :( Norm talked to the security officer, and i guess its to be in operation for 4 months or so. :thumbdown: We hunted 20 mins, hardly any targets, so headed to Va Beach, we arrived at 6:30, and were at 16th street. Headed south to around 6th. Then back up. Saw quite a few other detectorists. Waves were rather large, one went over my head, knocking headphones off, and nearly taking my scoop, and camera. Camera isnt waterproof, but is in a waterproof Pelican box, it floated out of my pouch. :lol: :( Only one gold was found that i saw. HH yall!!

Of course, I rarely have anyone to hunt with so it's either talk to myself or be quiet. Having a wetsuit on and swinging a bunch of heavy gear is intimidating enough for most of the people I see at the beach. If I start talking to myself, I'll spook everybody.:lmfao:

Was all set to go last night when the T-storms came tearing thru :(. Maybe tomorrow for me!
 
OK this might seem like a dumb question, but what's the story about the Sand Bridge? Why is it there in the first place?

Dont know if i understand question correctly. Sandbridge is a beach a few miles South of Va Beach. Its not as much as a tourist attraction either. The reason i posted about it was so that the other locals would know it was being replenished, and to post that all i found was a penny. :( I just saw it was in the newspaper too about the replenishment. lol HH yall
