This might be the best place to ask this question about an XP Deus...

Have any of you experienced Minelab users also put in enough hours on a Deus to know it's capabilities? I do believe the fact that they process faster but what about depth?
Can it come close to the Minelabs in the area of depth? I've heard lots of good things about them but would like to find out some things before I buy.

I have had all the Minelabs at some stage and have the Deus too. The Deus will find things that the ET might miss but it will miss things that the ET will find and that includes the Explorer too .
The ET can pick up deeper on most things than the Deus but in iron the Deus might be better on small stuff. Settings are everything.

I have the ET / Explorer 11 and the Deus , if I sell any of them it would be the Deus , the Minelab's are too versatile .

Just tough to beat the Explorer series for deep silver should cover it, however Deus is mighty light and excels in iron laden areas...

You can set up a Deus and it will go as deep as the FBS units,... however,... and here it comes.
Walk ten steps and to achieve the same great depth again, you will have to get the ground balance spot on again for the Deus.

The Minelab FBS units have a great ground tracking system and give you reliable depth without fiddling with settings too much.
The slower you go, the more depth you can get out of them.

So if I'm hunting for deep,... I'm will lean towards my Minelabs.
If I'm hunting in a trash infested spot,... I will go for a fast VLF machine.
