I guess I could consider myself a "hard Core hunter". When I'm detecting in the woods I don't care what I detect in. biars. thorn bushes, thickets, it don't matter( I guess that's why 2 years ago I ended up in the ER on Years Eve day with a scratched cornea! Anyway this is my tip. I bought some wire loom (plastic wire cover like on the wires on your car engine )from the auto parts store and cover the coil wire.It just slips right over it. No big deal, but could save from a thorn or something puncturing the wire. Just something to think about.
