they sure don't invest a lot in walk ways attached to the walls.... Most of our climbing was in NH in the white mountains or on straight walls around these parts. Even the cuts from the highways would give you a shot a small 100 to 150 foot climbs up walls...
These best ones I saw so far were in Zion National Park....Vertical faces and really beautiful. We didn't have climbing gear but we went up what ever we could on hiker paths....

Here are some of them......

While this area looks like it is breath taking beautiful, that type of hike would not be for me. I would want more than two feet of boards under my boots. I did enjoy the video, found it interesting...thanks for posting it. Kelley (Texas) :)

in this area. Might of at one time but being a National Park now there are a million restrictions there. Here is was a lot of hard core hikers, backpackers, Huge area..... We went there to start with for horseback. Really beautiful place to ride....Think I still have a shot of us on here from there on horses, I'll check before I close this....... Utah to me was really impressive. Bryce Canyon was another one that floored me in how beautiful it was...... I'll post some of those later also...again we went there to horse back but also went quading and hiking....

Here is a shot of the river that runs thru Zion.... I'd think there might be gold in there. Folks would hike up it but it was posted in different spots you were on your own, as it could rain up stream and this things become ragging rivers fast and no where to go but up, if you can....I would have no idea what to look for to indicate gold in any of them....
