Wild:

Ok. so I take my wife to Long Beach, CA today for a show she wanted to attend. I dropped her off at the convention center and headed to a park by the beach.

My plan was to detect the park in small sections with my AT Pro and mark each target with a poker chip, then come back and hit it with my CTX. I started hitting dime signals like a crazy person with my Pro. An hour later I had dug 48 dimes. Most 2" or less. In a little over an hour I had found over $9 in clad dimes and quarters.

The reason I chose this park is because it is like 75 years old. Never got to see how the CTX worked there, had to get back and pick up my wife.

Now I'm home in my office trying to use the buttons and figure out all of the things they are capable of.

I hunted a really lame park with the CTX yesterday for about
an hour, just trying to listen to the tone in 50 CO. Found a few dimes and about 6 memorials. Had my hunting buddy with me and all he found with the MXT was Penny's.

It has been so cold and Windy here for the last two weeks that we have not wanted to venture out much. For us 40 in the day with 35 mile per hour winds is really cold.
Today in Long Beach it was 79 degrees. Suppose to be the same tomorrow.

Hoping to learn the CTX as well as I know the AT Pro. Have a great day. and Keep reading about the CTX.

Today was my 5th run with the CTX. I went to the oldest park in town, hoping to find silver. Was only there about 45minutes. No silvers, but the interesting thing is I was using target trac. I could actually understand what it was telling me.

I hit a 12-45 high tone. Trac filled the cursor red with a small smear to the right. At about 9" I pulled out a clad quarter, dug around a little more a popped out a #12 rusted screw from the right side of the hole. Dug another quarter at 10" with the same results. All in all in 45 minutes dug all clad and copper but all were better than 6 " and I had a good idea what they were before I dug them.

Last target was a cub scout tie slide at every bit of 11". Not a bad day. Temp was a beautiful 70 *, blue skys. Gotta love this hobby.

Congrats on the new machine! I feel the exact same way you do...have to peel yourself off the ceiling? Yup, right there with you bud! I came from an Ace 250. I've been reading everything I can on the CTX, and so far, this is THE forum to be on! Good luck to you.

Nolanation:

Strange old park. Sand over dirt over medium size rocks. I also dug a can at about 9". Must have had a fill in the last 10 years. Park has been there since the 50's.

Went to a school today that was built in the mid 50's. Had a great time with the CTX. Still no silver. Dug 32 dimes in about 1.5 hours. At the very least I'm learning the sounds and the target trace.
