I went last Monday for my last hoora before eye surgery, knowing I'd be out for a few weeks. I know your surpose to be aware of your surrounding, Sharks, Stingrays, Cuda's, Manatees, Porpise, and strange shadows, but, SEAGULLS? There I was in chest deep waters about 25 yards out minding my own buisness when I caught a flight of Seagulls zooming past me and then WHAMO right in the back of the head, I get smack by a Seagull and he knocks my headphones off. It even looked like he turned around and had that look of, get the hell out my way. That's the way my day went. I didn't find anything either. Come on warm weather. HH SonnyFl

i was out hunting by a pond in iowa , old swimming hole when was hit by a red wing black bird , and he would not stop till i moved out of his space , " when good birds go bad " :starwars:

Sometimes birds have a very straight forward way of telling
you to get out of their way or their space. Glad you weren't
injured and too bad you didn't find anything. I bet it was hard
to consentrate on hunting when you were always looking over
your shoulder for "incomming"!! LOL Gold Nuggets :wiggle:

After years of water hunting I can only recall being a "bird target" twice, one a direct hit and the other a near miss, both with a nasty stream of droppings!

Both were from behind too so I had no clue I was being shat at until I saw a disturbance on the surface ahead of and directly in line with me.

Ball cap and jacket caught it thankfully,
