If the sea was rough enough to toss up all that stuff, it may also have tossed up some small shiny metal things....give it a going over where you can.
 
yea thats what i have been doing, my hip waders are leaking so i need a new pair before i can check the better stuff scince the water and air temps are a tad to cold no to go in with shorts
