I Just read the following post on the DFX forum. It really rings home why I use the MXT. This is not meant to bash the DFX. I'm sure that, in capable hands, it's a great unit. I just looked at that list of adjustments and said "Oh my!".
Good Hunting,

<EM>"<FONT COLOR="#ff0000">Went our for about 7 hours today, beautiful day. Not great, one 1940 merc, a buffalo head, and about 7 wheaties. About as good as I used to do with my IDX Pro. This is the program I used. I really need some help. Dave, would the 4 x6 DD loop help? I've had the machine about one year now, but feel very frustrated. I've found a little silver, but not as much as I should in this old park. There is alot of trash in it. I went super slow, dug every deep target, but I don't have it down yet. If anyone lives within an hour of New York City, I'd love some help Here's the program I used.

I could not imagine having to make those adjustments. I'll keep my simple MXT. Thank You very much.

I think some of these are already part of the program only a few are changes I think.

changed from the factory program, and I will guarantee you that with the DFX and XLT, not all the functions ought to be used!
I was out with my XLT swinging friend, Jon, on Saturday so we had out XLT w/6

I am with you western relic digger, Simple is best..Not complicated clears your mind, to focus on your display and audio response.
