My Royal Sabre has been setting on the shelf-mainly because the 8" coil went bad. I had been searching this park and ran into a trashy section I had searched with different brands and suddenly it hit me to try the Royal. I took the 5.75" coil off my Silver, replaced it with the brown coil, and put the small coil on the Royal . Going over the SAME ground I found these coins in NOTCH mode-the nickels gave a nice loud, clear tone and lo and behold one of the nickel sounds turns out to be a 10k butterfly shaped ring! Moments later, a soft sound pulls out a silver rosie at about 4"! The thing was SMOOTH over all the trash and I had a ball. If I were gonna get a new detector, it would be the Golden umax for sure. I never enjoyed a hunt so much. Tesoro rocks!

Grats on the quick thinking. Looks like it paid off.

Finding gold makes detecting very rewarding and even more addicting. Way to go!

My only 2 gold finds made last year was with my Golden uMax.

Just like fishing (in water that is) sometimes you've got to try new bait. Kudos!
