Well I've waited about a month and now it's time...I'm going to buy my first Ace250!!

I put in a big on ebay for a gently used one (that comes with all 3 coils!!!!) If I don't win that (goes off tomorrow) I'll be buying a new one from Kellyco! So I hope by next weekend I can be pulling out double digits of Pull tabs!!! :detecting: ha ha.

So for some fun conversation....

Do you remember the FIRST item you dug up with your detector ever? Was it a treasure or a "personal" treasure? I think if I get a pull tab on my first dig I'm going to get it on a chain to wear as a good luck detecting charm! hahaha. If you happen to have a picture of your first find, that would be awesome too!

Hope all of you dads (I'm one to a beautiful angel in heaven) have a great day! Happy Father's Day!!!!

Hey Roland,

My Ace 250 was my 4th detector over several decades. I just got it about 3 months ago and I'm
really liking it. Easy to use, works well, and looks sporty. One thing I really like about it is the
weight. You can swing it quite a while without tiring.

My first handful of targets with the new ace were silver rosies, wheats, and a big old gold classring.
I hope you have good luck with yours too. Warm regards, Jim

:usaflag:Roofing nails.....and shortly afterward a couple of wheaties !!

I can't remember....but I'll bet you will enjoy your new machine as much as I have mine! HH to ya...

Good luck with the bidding and I hope things workl out for you. The very first thing I found with my Ace 250 was a rusty nail. the second was a memorial penny and the third ws a nickle. If I could have kept up that ratio of two coins for every trash targget, life would be good.

One of the first things I dug up way back in 1964 was a roll of buffalo nickels with my first detector ( actually my step-dad's detector that he had taken in as payment on a debt ) - a Metrotech - in a park in Yuba City, California. I thought I had died and gone to heaven. I had never seen a detector before and didn't know doodly squat about one but I was determined to learn after pulling those nickels out of the ground. In those days if you showed up anywhere with a detector you soon had a crowd tailing you around asking a zillion questions..
