and its a weed! Its so dry here that the only things that will grow are weeds. And they grow to a foot tall or more. To make things worse, not even the goats will eat them!

Unfortuantely, some of the flowers on the bottom and left didnt focus properly in macro mode.

Might not be a good flower, but its the only flower I could find in my yard at this time of year. Hope you enjoy.:)

I think that I would cherish it...water it and protect it from harm. It is so dry in some areas of the country that wild fires are cropping up everywhere. I wonder if we are heading for another dust bowl? Kelley (Texas)

Hey, no need for the anger facey thing. :) That is a great photo! It is a very pretty flower, even if it is a weed. Heck, I may want ask you to save some seed and send some to me, so I can grow it.:) What is the name of this lovely flower, er, weed?

As far as they photo. You did GREAT! In Macro, many cameras are going to pick a point, and put it in sharp focus, then, it will soften out from that point. Your composition, and the cameras point of focus, was just right for my taste. Great one, Roscue2.

Yeah, wonder about Kelley's remark about this may be the start of another dustbowl. I won't talk about "judgments" and the like, becuase this isn't the forum for it, but you have to wonder just what is up with the drought for a couple years in Texas, now, making it's presence known in the lower Midwest.

Storm did come through the other night, though. Great bit of rain, but the high winds and hail destroyed my late tomato, cantaloupe and watermellon crop in the garden. Damaged all 90+ of my tomato plants. Watermellon vines severely damaged, but the big loss was my only Sugar Maple tree. Snapped off four feet up the trunk and laid over like an arrow pointing due east.

Thanking God for the rain, though. Small price to pay for rain. Horses will have green grass. Many around here started feeding hay some time ago.
