[size=medium]Hello Everyone,

I ended up at McArthur Park this mornin.

I took these two photos August 27, 2008.

This is tha oldest park in Little Rock. It's steeped in history.
David O Dod was hanged not far form here. An arsenal was
constructed here in 1837. It became a park in 1893.

It may be the most hunted park in Arkie Land.

It is extremely difficult to hunt. A carpet of trash exist in all
tha old places. Most of the park has been covered with back
fill. But I am old enough to know some old spots. The old
trees help also.

This is the area I hunted today:

I took that photo where I started hunting. You can not se it,
but I was standing under a large old tree with exposed roots.
Grass has not grown there in 45 years that I know of.

I was still under tha tree when I found a musket ball?

It's a pistol ball just like the ones I used to sit around a fire
and pore melted lead into a mold to make. I made them
with an original antique musket mold. That was during tha
Centennial Anniversary of tha Civil War. May be it came
from that time.

What do you think?

Or is it older than that?

I got another surprise after that. I dug a 10 gauge shotgun
shell. This is the last place I would expect that.

Here are tha rest of my finds for tha day:

Thanks for lOOkin,

I don't know about the musket ball, but those Heineken beer caps are everywhere. I dig more of them than all other beer caps put together. Makes me wonder about the the responsibility of Heineken drinkers. Bill in Texas
