Please Steve continue your meds as you are in deep depression which takes you down into a deep dark pit from which it seems you cannot get out of but you can by crying out to our Lord Jesus for help and like Steve in AZ said reach up and take hold of His hand, for He cares for you and doesn't want satan to have you ever....remember God's love is an everlasting love, and by crying out to Him in your pain and hurt in your sorrow and praying, He will lift you up above the shadows and lift you out of that bottomless pit satan has cleverly put you into...but don't give him the satisfaction of staying there and let go and let God lift you up and ease your sorrows and helplessness by His giving you peace and comfort! I am telling you that God will lift you out of the darkness you are in right now by leaning on and trusting in Jesus.....this is when you must do so, for no one loves you like He does! Don't do anything hastily and give yourself and your wife time to cool off and think things through! Read the Psalms and Proverbs, listen to some uplifting Spiritual music and keep the faith in our blessed Lord Jesus, Who has suffered more than we ever have! We love you and praying for you and wife to get through this in the caring love of Jesus! May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty

I DO know how you feel. I've been there many times. I found that it is only through talking to God and people like us who are outside of your immediate surroundings that you "WILL" find a new hope. Right now you probably feel like the guy who is drowning hoping someone will throw you a boat, an oar or something to get your head above water. God is throwing you that lifeline; it is US.!!!!!!! Steve, if you can't talk to a Christian who can you talk too ??? If you don't want to Post openly then you can PM any one of us.I'll be glad to talk to you any time. I know I've not been around as of late but that is about to change ok. I myself have just had my life turned upside down and inside out.I have lost everything I have ever worked for my entire life due to my health which was caused by someone else's complete gross negligence. In January 09 I fell in the driveway beside my house and literally shattered every vertebrae in my spine from head to toe. I was paralyzed 14 times from my chest down in one year. I lost all of my savings, they cut my SSI Benefits to a lower level. I just had extreme surgery with now over 70 percent of my spine being SOLID metal. The remainder has metal screws or bolts in them. I have a 14 year old girl to care for and feed because my wife was killed by a drunk driver in 1998 when my kid was 2 years old.I have raised her myself for all these years.Now I have this surgery. While i was in the hospital every bill you can think of fell past due. I'm now getting shut off Notices and Collection calls. Meanwhile I still have the kid to care for while I try to recover from the surgery. My landlord told me I owe him $600 bucks. Pay up or get out.!!!! Now, If you think you have pressure I hope you think about my situation and start doing what you need to do in order to help yourself and your family. I found for me that when I pray I am most at Peace with myself and those around me. Am I hurting??? Yes, you better believe I am. I don't even know where the next meal is coming from but I get up every day and do everything i can to take care of my family. That is called being a Man. When you get up in the morning do you say Thank God, or do you say My God ??? There is a major difference..!!!! Steve I know your hurting right now but I hope you think about why I'm sharing this with you and take strength from it. You know, Faith is not a Feeling, It is an act of your Will.!!!!!! Jesus didn't hang on the Cross because it was Fun, He hung there for Love because it had to be done. For Faith is NOT a Feeling, It is an act of Your Will. !!!!!!!! Yes, Even Jesus asked for help at Gethsemane but when He did not get it He did what He had to do in order to fulfill His Fathers Will. In spite of all the obstacles and hardships He endured He still kept going and did not quit. We in turn must follow Jesus's example. He lead us by own example. Now it is our turn. I know that what I'm saying is not going to take away the pain your in RIGHT Now but I can assure you that with just a little time you will feel a lot better than you do right now. I promise you that. Also never mind that garbage that Men don't hurt. That men don't show their feelings garbage.!!!! If Jesus did not want us to feel these things He would not have given them to us in the first place.!!!!!! I can assure you that I am and do talk to others in an open and frank manner.There is an old saying that " I tried to wear a Red S on my chest but wound up with a Red something else. !!!!!!!! Another words your not Superman so stop trying to be one ok. !!!!!!! Find someone to talk to NOW.!!! Even US ok. I look forward to hearing from you shortly. Thanks for such a great frank and encouraging post to WG Steve! I hope he pays attention and either PMs or calls others on here for help and encouragement....I know what hurt and sorrow is and the deep pit of self-pity satan can get us into, for I've been there...even as a child growing up with a very strict and vulgar father, but God saw me through everything and I am now past 75 years young and all of it has drawn me closer to Jesus, Whom loves me and I love Him! He is our strong hold and High Tower, Who will never shake us off or leave us alone but we must lean on His everlasting Arm, Who hold us up and cares for His own!! Praise His Holy name! Amen!
