This is my constant companion for the past few years............

Royal will probably remember when I got Sadie seven or eight years ago. She was a stray dog at a construction site over in Houston, Texas and was almost beaten to death with a two by four. She is my constant companion and is sleeping a few feet away as I am using this computer. I took these pictures of her the other day when we were sitting on the deck at the back of the house. Just before I took these pictures, she had chased a squirrel up the tree and was resting. She is becoming an older dog now, you can see the white around her nose. I dread the day that she is no longer with me in this world. Kelley (Texas) :)

I now what your considering. Our dog buddy is at that point now, hips are going bad etc. had her 15 years....never a problem..... Don't look forward to
that day at all. Everytime we loose one I swear we will not get another one but we always do.... Don't like the jurt from loosing them but it goes with the good.
I got some white around the face now also, but keep on trucking........ Hopefully Sadie is good for many many more healthy years.

I've already discussed this with my dog Duke, he's not allowed to get old.

She has the coon hound bark and sense of smell. She was use to running loose at the old home place, but is now confined to a fenced yard. Like me, she has a strong dislike living in the city. When I am home, she is never far from me. Debbie use to forbid Sadie from getting on the furniture, mainly the couch, but Sadie finally wore Debbie down, She is a good loyal friend! The best of friends Fred!

PS What is all that green stuff in the picture??

It doesn't look like a Connecticut winter that's for sure!

You put a lot of work into training that dog, and folks could tell that you loved him. I bet the folks on this Forum would love to hear a few of your stories about you and the dog. It has been awhile since you last posted a picture of him on the Views Forum. It is a beautiful dog! Kelley (Texas) :)

and some of the trees are getting buds and new leaves. I did notice that the Mesquite Trees are putting out leaves which as a rule indicates that winter is over in South Texas. Kelley (Texas) :)

Beautiful dog and she looks very happy for certain.

Well done..
