I replaced the stock grip with a grip that's way more comfortable.

Sure, it's BIKEGEAR bicycle grips from Amazon. Use lots of alcohol as a lube and it will slip right on and stay tight when the alcohol dries.

The grip is larger in diameter and much easier to hold.

Very cool! Thanks for the tip about the alcohol.

Charles

You're welcome. I pinch one end of the grip and fill the other end about half full with alcohol and shake it around a little. Pour the alcohol that's in grip liberally over the entire shaft. You have to work fast or the alcohol with evaporate. Also, thoroughly clean the shaft first before doing this.

I've ordered other grips on line and they were nothing but cheap spongy foam and not worth using, but these are the real deal and work great.

Yeah! Thanks tabby, my grip on the F70 is slap worn out...I was thinking of putting on a modded Pachmeyer pistol grip, but this looksa lot easier!

Hey Tabman---you inspired me to put a couple of those grips on our two GB's.----I had two of them in my parts box but never got around to putting them on till right now.----They look exactly like yours & what a difference, these are really nice (comfortable) grips.-----The stock ones was "ok", but not like these.----------Del

Nice I bet that's comfy,

I wrap Road Bike bicycle handle bar cork tape around my factory grips to protect & increase the size a little on all my detectors. Then I wrap black tape around the shafts & install plastic wire loom material on the coil cables plus use a control box cover plus small velcro tabs cut to size to protect face plate push buttons & prevent wear (see pic's)Now the detector is good to go, comfy & protected from hazards such as sharp brush & hazards that will damage the rods & shaft, coil cables & control panel box & face.
