This is for Dug.

Hi Doug,

I'm still kicking, but I was down and out for a little while. I got hurt at work on the 13th and it was a Friday of all things!! I was closing a big sliding door and this 12 foot long aluminum bar that was standing in the corner came down and got me pretty good on my left shoulder. They hauled me away in an ambulance to the hospital. Took x-rays, but found nothing broken. Thank god it didn't get me on the head!! I'm still sore as heck and did go to our club hunt last Saturday and I may have over did it. I only found a 1936 quarter, three wheat's, a silver earing and silver ring and some clad. I think I'll rest up some more before going out again. HH.

What a deal. I was thinking maybe you found some great place to detect and had no time to post, but no...you were having another entirely different kind of adventure.

You are a truly committed detectorist, out there detecting in the pain. Sounds like you did reasonably well, too. Hope you get back to normal real soon.

Thanks for the reply, and again, very glad to hear from you.

I got permission to hunt an old farmstead and went to scope it out today for about 90 minutes. Had a few interruptions from the very fine folks who live there now, so the 90 minutes was maybe more like 60. I'll try to get back out there a few evenings this week.

Gotta run. I'll look for you later.

Doug
