It was 8AM Saturday morning, I was at the local oil change shop with my wife's car. I was number two in line, the guy in front of me was complaining to the station owner. (notice I said complaining and remember I live in Southern California) They were both Mexican but speaking in English. (that was odd) The guy in front of me was telling the owner that the day before (a Friday) he was flying from Los Angeles airport to San Diego airport and when he got off the plane in San Diego (or getting on in L.A. I couldn't tell, strong accent) he was asked for an I.D. he didn't have one so he was taken to Mexico and left in Tijuana (just south of San Diego, but in Mexico)
Now comes the complaining part, He made a deal with a coyote (illegal alien smuggler) to get him across the U.S. border. The coyote never showed up so he had to sneak in all on his own. Then catch a bus in San Diego to Santa Ana (100 miles north, locally called Northern Tijuana) and then catch a taxi back up to near where I live.
So in less than 24 hours: deported and back home. Nice revolving door and it didn't even ruin his weekend.
