GraveDiggerMax, Gulf Hunter, Tinfoil I can't thank you enough for the help and advice you provided in helping me reach this point. I would also like to say thank you to all the members of the forum and moderators for making this site a great place to learn about the hobby, I feel I was able to make a more informed choice because of this site and will have a leg up on the learning curve. I took the advice and tips from the forum and have made a folder broken into subject matter for help if I run into something. Again thank you all for everything.

adam thank you for the help. I hope I'll be posting some good finds to, would be terrible if I find only pull tabs and cans, unless the can is full of gold or silver i guess Can't wait to get started it should be here next week and me the wife and kids are heading to a few spots close to the house, parks and the like and may try the beach and see how that goes. I plan on digging everything at first to see what the machine was telling me.

Read cjc's book on the SOV. You can send cjc a PM and he'll get a copy right out to ya! GREAT READ for the SOV. It is entitled, "Finding Gold, Silver and Coins with the Minelab Sovereign and Excaliber metal detectors". Read and reread it again, till you dream it! GREAT STUFF THERE! OBTW, one more thing! Yer loot is yers! If yer wife wants loot, then she will need her own unit! I resolved this by purchasing Gulf Huntress her very own Excal 800. You wanna be a pirate or give handouts?
