This could be my last find of the year?

We got back Fri. after spending Xmas with Grandkids. Sat looked good before weather change. Met up with Cliff and Greg. Spent 5 hr. in the water. It really wasn't that cold. Flat and crystal clear. I did get this one signet ring 1.9 dwt 14K. I think Greg got one, but , needed cleaned up and tested. What was it Greg? At one time I heard Cliff call me over. It looked like a fishing rod he was holding. He said he couldn't get this out. He wasn't wearing a mask. I dropped down and try to get whatever it was out. I grab it and it felt like the neck of a large bottle. I couldn't pull it out. Stood up and told he what it was. He cracked up. He said NO IT WASN"T, It's my SCOOP, it broke off. So's now I'm scooping a scoop. Go figure. I handed to him and we kept going. He's swinging and I'm swinging and I've got the scoop. I like them odds. How funny is that?

Don't get any better then that, going out with gold...

Nice ring. Scoop story reminds me of a year ago in Myrtle Beach when the square end of the post hole digger handle on my scoop finally broke after a few years of use. Was only in about 2 feet of water so recovery was not hard. Off to the hardware store where all the post hole digger handles are now round; but the wound one fit well and had the same hole size and spacing as the old one.

Happy New Year to you and wish you the best in the year to come.
Cheers,
tvr

nice ring! :clapping: Thats some serious digging when a fellow can break one off!:surprised: Why dont you guys take little baby scoops until you get close to the target?
