I've hunted this a few times. There is a gallon right off shore there...Fact just back from the rocks you will see 4 white buoys...
Thats where it is...... Here is a picture of the shoreline this afternoon and also a link to info on it....

Jupiter Inlet, Florida Ship Wreck

water line up and down the beach? It looks like a man near the water is metal detecting. Did you ever find anything associated with the old wreck? Kelley ( Texas) :)

have done ok on ring and watch finds. Lot of sand moves there so its a real crap shoot. I like it after it gets ripped up. I've met a few guys there that said they have done fine after a good hurricane comes thru, and one had a spanish coin on his neck chain. Here is a movie clip of them diving on it and they get one. That shore line gets some weird cuts on it....Often ripples like this, other times just one big U shaped cut....I've done as well just hunting the face of the cut...

These guys are using a scooter to blow the sand away... Geo

Ship Wreck dive with detector...

after every storm and have struck pay dirt/coins. If I lived there I'd be hunting all those sites along there on the shoreline and way above..... Lot of restrictions there now.... Still when there, its fun to try. Geo-CT

one was not one of them. It went down earlier, in the mid 1600's. Here is a link to more on it...
Here is and image file I printed out while down there for 3 months and hunted a lot of these beaches 4 winters ago....Found a lot of
nice stuff, but no Spanish coins. My neighbors daughter lives right on Vero Beach so we parked the camper in her yard and hunted from there. Have another buddy on Cedar Key and another on Big Pine Key. Helps some to have locals that know their way around.
Some of the beaches have pretty strict detecting limits on them. For us, being n the sun for the winter, water warm enough to swim in, great sea food, with friends, made it a win win deal either way. I have another link to a site about the ship at Jupiter but it keeps saying their is a bad word in it.... I sure can't see it.. I will email it to you......Has all the info on the wreck....
