Went out for a beach hunt this morning and managed about $25.00 in coin and the surprise of the day was a shiny Canadian 10cent coin, amazing how currency gets around these days isn't it.

Better add that i am in Perth Western Australia !

See my siggy below. Both the 1859 Three Pence, and the 1861 Austrian Penny were found here in NW Oregon USA in older parts of town. Oregon didn't become a state till 1859. These were well traveled before airplane transportation were around.
 
i live in muskegon county. Whitehall to be exact. how close are yah to me? i know you're pretty close. matter fact we may detect some of the same public spots. Small world.
