Third time's the charm...

Third hunt in the stuffy town's park and we got the boot. I knew they were picky about letting people detect this park, but my new hunting buddy said he had been detecting there with no problems. Yesterday the police officer said the city manager drove by, saw us, and called the cops... The police guy was nice and said he didn't mind us being there, but the city manager signs his checks. Anyway, it was no surprise, and I managed to find these goodies before we bid goodbye to the park. Always wanted to hunt that park, now I will always want to go back.

All of these were deep or hiding by trash. I was using the Sun Ray Stealth 8 coil. The IHs were down 7-8" the Barber dime had to be 9" (I think the city manager saw me digging that one, darn).

Nice finds and in beauiful shape!

What kind of soil do you have there? (Wish my old copper would come out with so little corrosion.)

Our soil is usually real nice to copper. It is pretty sandy in a lot of places. I am in SW lower Michigan.
Thanks - BF

Wow, nice low mintage on the 1876! 7,944,000.

Great looking stuff....

I am afraid that is going to happen more, you can't dig. I get it in the parks here but fortunately the parks director is for it and I tell whomever that so&so gave me permission to hunt the parks and then they move on. But it is only going to take one person who doesn't like and complain. Had some other place that is going to be put under asphalt won't even let us near the place, a home until recently sitting there was dated back prior to the revolutionary war. How do we get people to change their minds?

I guess be happy with what we have
