Finally got out with the ATPro using the stock coil I went to a park called Casino Beach in Lake Worth Texas that I have hunted a lot but not in the area I did today and dug my third and best silver coin this year there use to be an old Roller coaster in the area I hunted back in the 20,s I was digging every signal in the 70's and above surprizingly not alot of trash lots of canslaw hit a few 51 's and dug couple 70's nichols and lots of 70,s cents and then bam got a weak90 to 91 signal at ten inches on the meter and so raised the coil and lost it quickly decided to dig it and down 8to 9 inches seen the rim and first thought wow got me a silver dollar but was I stoked when I dug it out with my fingers and turned over and saw the Eagle and stars on the back makes my third Barber coin ever dug and the best silver find for me this year I thanked the Lord ten times over

Thanks BCD Man I was Stoked when I pulled it from the hole wish I would have thought about videoing it while digging I really need to get me a camera mounted to my detector

A half ?, I didn't notice at first. Amen indeed ! My AT has been pretty consistent on copper\silver coins for me, and I hope for a few more oldies in the fall. There is wheat in my main field right now. I have never found a half dollar and really appreciate when one is found. Then when it is really old, I find it even more fascinating and wonderful. Congrats on a sweet one bud.

Congrats on that BARBER H-A-L-F!! I've NEVER Found Any BARBERS except BARBER Dimes!! WTG,Les Robinson

Nice find! Oddly enough, I've never pulled a Barber half. That'll change.

Congrats! always nice to find silver ... a nice little feeling that I have only experienced on one occasion with 2 reales, 1836, those of my avatar.
It's nice that Barber

That's a rare prize, Barry! Congratulations. I've found exactly one Barber half (1906), one quarter (1902), and two dimes (1901 &1907), and I still take them out to gaze at when I need motivation.:clapping:

That's another coin on my wish list. I haven't found any Barber coins at this time but hope to this year.
How would you mount a video camera on your detector without causing interference?
I'd like to video my detecting when I get the chance to do it.
If everything goes okay, I intend to be at an old church at daylight and then head to the river until about evening and hopefully find something worth posting.
I like the larger coil on the At/Pro, but will break out the lonely GTI-2500 and the sniper coil tomorrow for the old church and then hit the river with the At/Pro and either the large coil or the 5 x 8.
Thanks for posting this coin and the other finds. It just helps me get in the mood to adapt, overcome and improvise tomorrow. HH.

not quite sure how to mount one .Have seen some mounted on the upperarm shaft to video the screen . But recently saw a vid about a camera mounted in some glasses just got find it againg . that would be a better choice ,as long as the dont interfere with my headphones
